Monica Levin is forward-thinking, appreciative, and deeply committed to CPMC's mission of care. She recently told us she had included a gift in her trust for CPMC's areas of greatest needs. Because of her kindhearted foresight, Monica's generosity will help future patients and the overall well-being of our community.
My Commitment:
"I learned the satisfaction of giving from my parents, who became enthusiastic philanthropists when their longtime small business, an office-supply store in Connecticut, succeeded beyond their wildest expectations. They began to —give back' by donating to organizations that —spoke' to them.
"Following their admirable lead, I have chosen nonprofits judiciously through the years to receive percentages of my trust and IRA accounts.
"I have long included CPMC to receive a percentage of my estate because I've been a great fan since moving to San Francisco in 1981 and using its services, from back when the California Street location was called Children's Hospital.
"CPMC staff, from doctors and nurses to phlebotomists and technicians, have taken very good care of me whenever I needed medical assistance or procedures.
"I'm proud of the CPMC Breast Health Center's and Heart & Vascular Center's cutting-edge equipment, having experienced some of it firsthand, and want to lend a hand, however small, in contributing to keeping up the hospital's reputation, equipment and facilities well into the future."
